Making an application to become an Academy can be a complicated and time consuming process.
We have a dedicated Academy Team, to ensure the conversion proceeds smoothly and efficiently.
Within the team your project will be overseen by a senior Relationships Manager, who will be in regular contact with you to make sure the process progresses, along with your own dedicated Team Member, who can be contacted at any time along the way.
We will advise on:-
The process prior to the application for Academy Status being made adn attend with the School Governors and staff to answer any querires regarding the process.
Transfer of Staff pursuant to the Transfer of Undertakings (Protection of Employment) Regulations 2006 (TUPE)
Attend Meetings with Union representatives
Approve and finalise the Memorandum and Articles of Association
Liaise with the LEA as required throughout the process
Advise on the Funding Agreement between the Academy trust and the Secretary of State
Advise and deal with the transfer or leasing arrangements for the school land and premises
Advise and deal with the transfer of asstes from the LEA or other third parties to the Academy.
