About Us
The practice was formed on the 1st April 1998 by a merger between Attey Bower and Jones who were formed in 1948 and took that title in 1972 and Dibb and Clegg who have a history dating back to 1779. On 1st January 2002 the name change from Attey Dibb and Clegg to ATTEYS Solicitors came into effect.
In November 2006 a Sheffield based firm named Taylors Solicitors merged with the firm bringing with them over 40 staff and 2 consultants. Then in May 2007 we merged with Richmonds solicitors bringing a further 40+ staff and 2 partners.
The Firm now has 10 equity partners, 3 salaried partners, approximately 40 qualified legal staff and in the region of 90 additional supporting employees and is in the top ten legal practices in the Yorkshire and Humberside area.
The Firm practices from the following offices:

The firm offers a range of services from Business and Commercial, Debt Collection, Commercial Litigation and Licensing for the Business Client to Conveyancing, Probate, Personal Injury, Family and Civil Litigation for the personal client.
Each department has partners in charge and every fee earner specialises in that discipline.
The firm has grown by mergers with other practices engaging suitably qualified staff and by maintaining a friendly approachable, yet business like, attitude aimed at giving our clients “City expertise at provincial prices”.
All staff at every level have an important part to play in the firm. The success of the business depends on the quality of the service we provide, and that quality depends on each member of staff doing their best.
